Steve, The Frustrated Rock Star
By Katarina
I'm Steve's oldest daughter - one of the things I'll miss most is talking about and listing to music with my dad. He knew every music fact and knew how to rock out. We really connected on that.
One of his friends said he was really a "frustrated rock star" and would go to every Rolling Stones show he could in his youth!

An old fashioned guy - he never had a Spotify or Apple Music. If you got in his car it was a burned CD of his faves. I turned it into a Spotify playlist. Here it is.

A week before his passing - my Dad celebrated his 70th birthday in a joint party with Carolyn who was turning 60.
An awesome benefit of this amazing memory was selecting a playlist for the party with my dad's help. There are 2 playlists - 1 for the cocktail hour and 1 for the dance portion. And man could he dance.
Some of Dad's Thoughts I Remember
My Dad could list Rolling Stones's list of greatest songs and guitarists ever. He was a real fan.
He thought Prince's solo in this performance of "Still My Guitar Gently Weeps" was perhaps the greatest of all time. And that Prince was highly underrated as a guitarist.
I remember him saying Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones was the Greatest Rock Song of All Time.
Man.. he thought this song was so funny and related to it a bit I think. But not really.
Remember a song/artist Steve liked?
Please submit your musical memory of him!
